It’s Been Awful: Philly Sports In Turmoil

Currently down 3-1 going back to Boston, Philly is in a state of question.

While the young duo of Maxey and VJ Edgecombe are great pieces for the next era of 76ers basketball, the era right now is at a standstill. Embiid being hurt has always been an issue, but his contract is still very much around and winning around Maxey at this point has to have Embiid involved. It feels like the remaining years of this deal will be 40-45 win teams where Embiid remains a question game in and game out.

With Paul George contract also still very much a problem, this team with Embiid and Paul George will always hold the team back from getting better long term.

Very rarely does a team a year removed from a super bowl has this much drama surrounding the roster. After a turbulent season filled with offensive inconsistency that couldn't capitalize on great defense play, this season was a mess.

Now Kevin Patullo was the scapegoat from this season, it feels more and more that this lies with Jalen Hurts. From changing plays right before the snap and an overall resistance to change in his offensive gameplan, this feels like a make or break season for Jalen Hurts.
